After 24 years of believing Asaf didn’t understand the world around him, he began communicating with us through typing, shattering everything we thought we knew and revealing his rich inner world.

As a passionate advocate for presuming competence, I explore themes of resilience and discovery, inspired by my Autistic non verbal son Asaf, who has taught me to cherish the small wonders of life. After 24 years of being imprisoned in his own mind, Asaf began communicating with us through typing—shattering everything we thought we knew and revealing his rich inner world. This profound awakening led me to advocate for presuming competence, challenging perceptions, and inspiring change.
